LEDs USED AS LIGHT SENSORS
This web page has links to several of Forrest M. Mims III's articles, detailing how LEDs can be used as photosensors. Forrest has done extensive experimentation into using an LED as a spectrally selective light sensor. Recently Forrest designed a "Sun & Sky Monitoring Station" for Radio Shack. Unfortunately Radio Shack no longer carries them.

The links on this web page were furnished by a website fan and I was given explicit written consent (not just implied oral consent) to publish them.
