CHRISTMAS LIGHT-UP ERASER

Christmas Light-Up Eraser, retail 99¢ (Found at a "dollar store")
Manufactured by It's Academic, Inc. (www.its-academic.com)

This is a Christmas-themed pencil eraser, shaped like a smiling snowman.

This eraser also has a secret: if you press the snowman's tummy, the entire eraser emits a soft, fairly deep blue light.

This product was found at a "dollar store" in the eastern United States (Ohio, to be specific) in early-October 2007.

 SIZE

Mechanically, use it like you would an ordinary pencil eraser.

Hold the eraser between your thumb and forefinger near its tummy, squeeze fairly firmly, and hold to have it emit a soft blue glow.
Release pressure to turn it off.

This product appears to be disposable, so I don't have battery changing instructions for you today.

This is a holiday-themed light-up eraser, not a flashlight. So I won't use it (like a flashlight), abuse it, thrash it, trash it, throw it against the wall, stomp on it, try to drown it in the {vulgar term for feces}bowl or the cistern, run over it, swing it against the concrete floor of a patio, bash it open to check it for candiosity, fire it from the cannonada (I guess I've been watching the TV program "Viva Piñata" too much again - candiosity is usually checked with a laser-type device on a platform with a large readout, a handheld wand that Langston Licktoad uses, or a pack-of-cards-sized instrument that Fergy Fudgehog uses), send it to the Daystrom Institute for additional analysis, or inflict upon it punishments that flashlights may have inflicted upon them.
So this section of the eraser's web page will seem SIGNIFICANTLY more bare than this section of the web page on a page about a flashlight that was born to be a flashlight and nothing but a flashlight.

The eraser's effectiveness is adequate at best; it's not excellent, very good, or even good.

As you can see, it did a rather lousy job here, even when rubbed firmly against the pencil mark.

TEST NOTES:
Test unit was sent by a fan of the website on 10-18-07, and was received on 10-20-07.

Product was made in China.
A product's country of origin really does matter to some people, which is why I published it on this web page.
