The Inova Bolt is a fairly small, almost all-aluminum flashlight that has an unknown-type high-powered LED (advertised as "3.8 watts") in its business-end, and uses two AA cells to power that LED.

The body of the flashlight is light grey anodized aluminum, with a rubberised grip on the barrel to aid in grip.

To use the Inova Bolt, just grab it, push the rubberised tailcap button in and hold it that way for as long as you need light. This is momentary or signalling mode.

Turn the tailcap clockwise to turn the Bolt on in continuous or hands-free mode; unscrew it approximately 1/4th of a turn to turn the Bolt off.



To change the batteries in the Bolt, unscrew & remove the tailcap, throw it in the {vulgar term for feces}bowl, yank that silver handle on the front of the cistern down, and flush it away...O WAIT!!! YOU'LL NEED THAT!!! So just set it aside instead.

Tip the dead AA cells out of the barrel and dispose of or recycle them how you see fit.

Drop two new batteries in the barrel, button (+) end facing up. This is the opposite polarity of how the batteries are installed in most other flashlights, so please pay attention here. Screw the tailcap back on, unscrew it slightly when the Bolt springs to life, and you're done with it.
Aren't you glad you didn't flush that tailcap away now?

Current consumption measures 590mA on my DMM's 4A scale.



Because this is a "loaner", the punishments I normally bestow upon flashlights will not be inflicted upon this flashlight. I'm sure its owner would like it returned with no dings in the bezel or yukky old toliet water or desiccated rat pellets in the barrel.

So this portion of the web page will be ***SIGNIFICANTLY*** more bare than this section of the web page on a page about a flashlight that isn't a loaner or passaround.

I did however, administer "The Suction Test" on it - this test is totally nondestructive.
The Bolt passed this test quite handily - that is, no air leakage at all was evident when the tailcap & batteries were removed and the flashlight was subsequently suctioned.

The light produced by the Bolt is a pure white, with no yellow, blue, purple, or "rotten squid urine green" tint anywhere in it.

This evaluation look an awful lot like the one for the original Inova Bolt LED Flashlight?
Thought you'd say so.
These products are rather similar to one another, so I was able to use its web page as a template for this one.
