The Atomic Racers Micro R/C Car is a miniature (1/64 scale) car -- either a Le Car or a Mini Cooper -- that's a real live radio-controlled car!

It can go forward & backward and steer left & right. Cats love it; though they might be able to bite down hard enough on it to cause product breakage , so you do need to excersize some degree of caution when racing around in a place where pet kitty cats can get to it.

It comes ready to drive; only needing two AA cells for its Tx (remote control cum vehicle battery charger) and some extremely minor assembly (screwing the antenna into the Tx).

To use the Atomic Racers Micro R/C Car, first feed the Tx a pair of AA cells, and THEN you can go terrorise the kitty cat.

Gently screw the antenna into the opening near the forward-facing edge of the Tx first; then extend it. I say, "gently" here because the receptacle for the antenna is simply soldered directly to the PCB (printed circuit board) of the Tx; it would probably become broken if you used too much force here.

Open the lid of the Tx until it stops.

Disengage the car from the unicomplex...er...um...I mean...THE CONTROLLER.

Place the car onto the floor (a smooth floor with no rugs or carpets), and use the up & down arrows on the Tx to accelerate the car forward or backward. Use the left & right buttons to steer the car left or right.

When you are finished using the toy, push the telescoping antenna down, snap the car onto the charging pedestal (see directly below), and close the lid.



The battery in the car itself is rechargeable and not intended to be replaced, but it will require charging.

To do this, "simply" place the car on the pedestal for it in the Tx (remote control), aligning the two metal charging pads on the car's undercarriage with the two short metal "prongs" on the little pedestal for the car in the Tx. Do it so that the front of the car faces you as the lid is open and the antenna on the Tx faces away from you. Press down on the car until it clicks into place and the red LED behind the car's left rear tire turns on.

After several minutes (the instructional materials state 2 to 3 minutes!), this light will turn off. You may leave the car on this pedestal or lift it off and drive it some more.

I put the word "simply" in quotes because this procedure is actually quite fiddly and it takes some time & practise to get it right.



To install the two AA cells in the Tx (remote control), turn the Tx upside-down, and turn that yellow thumbscrew ¼ turn in either direction, lift the cover off (or turn the Tx rightside-up and gently shake the Tx until the battery cover falls off), take it to a bridge over deep water (the Golden Gate Bridge would be ideal; however, the Juneau-Douglas Bridge would also suffice here), and throw it over the side so that it goes "blub blub blub" all the way to the bottom of Gastineau Channel with all of the bowling balls that were lobbed over that bridge in the 1950s and 1960s...O WAIT!!! YOU'LL NEED THAT!!! So just set it aside instead.

If necessary, remove the two used AA cells from the compartment, and dispose of or recycle them as you see fit.

Place two new AA cells into the battery compartment, orienting them so that their flat-ends (-) negatives face the springs for them in each chamber.

Place the battery cover back on, turn that yellow thumbscrew ¼ turn in either direction to lock it into place, and be done with it.
Aren't you glad that you didn't throw that battery cover over the side of the Juneau-Douglas Bridge now?

The Atomic Racers Micro R/C Car is meant to be used as a toy in a dry area indoors, not as a flashlight meant to be carried around, rained on, thrashed, trashed, and abused, so I won't try to drown it in the toliet tank, bash it against a steel rod or against the concrete floor of a patio, let my sister's citty kats go to the litterbox on it or let my parent's big dog's ghost lift his leg on it, run over it with a 450lb Celebrity motorised wheelchair, leave it outside in the rain, stomp on it, use a medium claw hammer in order to bash it open to check it for candiosity, fire it from the cannoñata, drop it down the top of Mt. Erupto (I guess I've been watching the TV program "Viva Piñata" too much again - candiosity is usually checked with a laser-type device on a platform with a large readout (located at Piñata Central aka Party Central), with a handheld wand that Langston Lickatoad uses, or with a pack-of-cards-sized device that Fergy Fudgehog uses; the cannoñata (also located at Piñata Central) is only used to shoot piñatas to piñata parties away from picturesque Piñata Island, and Mt. Erupto is an active volcano on Piñata Island), send it to the Daystrom Institute for additional analysis, or perform other indecencies on it that a flashlight might have to have performed on it.

It was also a Christmas gift, so I would not have performed any damaging or potentially destructive tests on it even if it were a flashlight.

So this section of the web page will be ***SIGNIFICANTLY*** more bare than this section of the web page on a page about a flashlight.
