(IMPORTANT!!!)
I've had this for quite a few years now, that's why it does not look brand spanken new in the above photograph!!!

This product does not emit light of its own, so the standard review format will not be used and the product will not be assigned a rating. This website is mostly about light-emitting products, but occasionally, you'll see non-light emitting products on it too if it's something I really like. It *CAN* be used as an emergency flashlight if need be, so it's at least a bit germane to the theme of this website.

This is the Digimon D-Scanner Card Reader.
Its purpose is to allow you to scan Digimon cards; not too unlike how the children scan defeated digimon in the Digimon (season 4) TV series.

Somewhere around here, I have an Imperialdramon card that this digivice should be able to scan; but I cannot for the life of me find it at this very moment.

Size of product w/hand to show scale SIZE

I'd be lying if I didn't say that I was 45 and still liked Digimon -- but I like SpongeBob SquarePants and Viva Piņata as well.

Becuse this is a rather "complexicated" piece of equipment, I'll refer you to this web page so that you can learn how to use it.

To change the batteries in this digivice when the display indicates "CHANGE BATTERY", turn it over, and use a small/medium Phillips screwdriver (the #1 with a 3.80mm shaft diameter from my kit of jeweller's screwdrivers works like a charm) to unscrew the screw holding the battery door on. This screw is at least somewhat captive; one would have to make a fairly concerted effort to remove it.

Swing the battery door up, remove it, wait until Digimon is on TV and Skullgreymon warp digivolves to Blackwargreymon and is about to fire his Terra Destroyer (a large fireball), then huck it at the TV so that it gets melted...O WAIT!!! YOU'LL NEED THAT!!! So just set it aside instead.

Remove the three used AAA cells from the compartment, and dispose of or recycle them as you see fit.

Insert three new AAA cells into the compartment, orienting them so that their flat-ends (-) negatives face the springs for them in each chamber.

Place the battery door back on, and tighten that screw.
Aren't you glad that you didn't chuck that battery door at your boob tube now?

This is a video on YouTube showing the various modes of this digivice.

This clip is approximately 7.40963467654 megabytes (7,598,540 bytes) in length; dial-up users please be aware.
It will take no less than forty eight minutes to load at 48.0Kbps.

I cannot provide this video in other formats, so please do not ask.

Audio file (.WAV format) of Growlmon matrix digivolving to Wargrowlmon (this is season 3).

In it, you can hear Takato yell "Digi modify!! Matrix digivolution!!! ", then hear Calumon say "Crystal matrix activate!", hear the female computer voice say "Matrix digivolution", and a bit later, hear Growlmon say "Growlmon digivolve to...{long pause here} Wargrowlmon!!!".

This file is 4.478456 megabytes (4,586,872 bytes) in length; dial-up users please be aware.
It will take no less than twenty two minutes to download at 48.0Kbps.

TEST NOTES:
Product was purchased on Ebay in 2002.

Product was made in China.
A product's country of origin really does matter to some people, which is why I published it on this web page.
